The Wildcard:

Laquon Treadwell

Just two years ago, Vikings fans were giddy about landing Laquon Treadwell in the first round of the draft. Those memories of fans partying on draft night are long gone and the future of 2016’s 23rd overall pick is in question as he heads into his third training camp.

On the negative, Treadwell has failed to separate from receivers at the professional level and his catch totals of one in his rookie year and just 20 in his sophomore campaign suggests that the Vikings swung and missed.

The other side of the coin shows that Treadwell just hasn’t been thrown to that often with just 38 targets in his first two years combined.

The Minnesota receiver didn’t mince words about working with Cousins at OTAs and it could mean big things if he’s able to find some open space in 2018. If Treadwell is not able to do that, he could be on the outs as one of the biggest draft busts in Vikings history.
