The Tay Train gets loose!

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has been practicing this week and it’s possible that he could actually be in the lineup on Sunday against the Lions. But even if Cook is on the field, another member of Minnesota’s offensive backfield should still be able to have himself a day versus Detroit.

Currently on a three-game streak with at least one touchdown, Vikings running back Latavius Murray should be able to do some more celebrating in the end zone against the Lions this week.

Heading into Sunday, Detroit has one of the NFL’s worst defenses this season when it comes to stopping the run. The Lions have allowed four different opposing running backs to rush for at least 100 yards this year and they are also giving up an average of 5.1 yards per carry (third-worst in the league).

Since Week 4, Murray has scored a total of four touchdowns and he has been averaging around 80 rushing yards per game (5.1 yards per attempt). The path should be pretty clear on Sunday against Detroit for the Minnesota running back to finish with at least 75 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
