The Minnesota Vikings revealed on Friday that the team has filled all their vacancies for their 2019 coaching staff which now includes Rick Dennison leading the offensive line.

A good coach can make a world of a difference in the NFL, just ask the Minnesota Vikings. Since hiring Mike Zimmer in 2014, the Vikings have gone from the laughing stock of the league to a team that is now highly respected by their opponents in each of their matchups.

For 2019, Minnesota is hoping that a few coaching changes on their staff will lead to positive results. So far this offseason, the Vikings have already announced the promotion of Kevin Stefanski to be the team’s full-time offensive coordinator and the hiring of Gary Kubiak as their assistant head coach/offensive advisor.

On Friday, Minnesota released a finalized list of their 2019 coaching staff that includes Marwan Maalouf as their new special teams coach, Rick Dennison as the team’s new offensive line coach and run game coordinator, and Drew Petzing becoming their new wide receivers coach.

Maalouf spent the last six seasons as the assistant special teams coach for the Miami Dolphins and his hiring has been known for awhile now after it was initially reported by SiriusXM’s Alex Marvez.

As for Dennison, his addition to the staff has been assumed since the Vikings hired Kubiak as the two have worked together at numerous stops around the NFL over the past two decades. But with Friday’s announcement, Minnesota now officially has a new offensive line coach for 2019.

Petzing is stepping into a new role on the Vikings’ staff after being the team’s assistant quarterbacks coach in 2018. He has been a part of Minnesota’s staff since 2014 and he was the team’s assistant wide receivers coach in both the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
