After losing Latavius Murray to the New Orleans Saints this offseason, who will the Minnesota Vikings pick to replace him for 2019?

When the Minnesota Vikings and free agent running back Latavius Murray agreed to a three-year, $15 million deal in 2017, many assumed that he was going to become the team’s top guy in the their offensive backfield.

A few weeks later, however, the Vikings decided to select Florida State running back Dalvin Cook in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and the rookie eventually opened the season as the team’s No.1 back.

Thanks to Cook missing a bunch of time due to injuries, Murray actually ended up getting a bunch of time on the field for Minnesota in each of the last two seasons. But now, the veteran running back is a member of the New Orleans Saints and the Vikings are left having to figure out who will takeover his role in 2019.

Minnesota has a few options to choose from when it comes to finding Murray’s replacement this offseason. None of the three running backs on the Vikings’ current roster are over the age of 23, so the team looking into adding a veteran this year wouldn’t come as a surprise.

Perhaps Minnesota has a running back from the 2019 draft class that they have their eye on? Whichever route the Vikings take to replace Murray this offseason, who are some of the options the team has to choose from?
