Jace Sternberger (Texas A&M)

Measurements:

Height: 6-foot-4 | Weight: 251 pounds

2018 Stats:

  • 48 catches, 834 yards, 10 touchdowns

The Vikings have already showed interest in the 6-foot-4, 251 pound tight end from Texas A&M, and rightfully so. Sternberger is the type of guy that can step in on day one and make an impact on Minnesota’s offense.

While he won’t win any awards for his blocking, he moves like a receiver in the passing game. The former Aggie runs extremely crisp routes for a tight end and he also has above average hands, rarely dropping a pass.

Sternberger transferred to Texas A&M after two seasons at Kansas and he really only has one year of production which might be too small of a sample size for teams to use an early-round pick on the big guy.

But when you look at his tape, it becomes apparent that he has the tools to be a very productive tight end in the NFL as early as year one.

If the Vikings are truly interested, it would most likely cost them their second-round pick. Many teams have shown serious interest in the pass catcher as well and I can’t see any scenario of him making it to Minnesota in round three.
