Every training camp has its share of breakout performers and for the Minnesota Vikings, one of these five players could make some noise this August.

The Minnesota Vikings will open training camp on July 26, when they head to Eagan in preparation for the 2019 season. Believe it or not, that date is a little over a month away and with offseason team activities wrapping up last week, it’s time to start talking about the month leading up to the regular season.

As the Vikings return to the field, they will be looking to erase the memories of a dismal 2018 season. Because of the poor performance, there are many jobs that will be up for grabs which creates an opportunity for several players to step up and take a major role on the 2019 team.

This situation has already created many key cogs on a team that loves to draft and develop their guys while also supplementing the roster in free agency. In the past, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs have balled out in camp on their way to becoming the best wide receiver duo in the league and others such as Anthony Harris and Danielle Hunter carved out their roles with a strong first impression in training camp.

This year, there’s a group of players who can break out and while they may not be “Mr. Mankato” (or Mr. Eagan now), a strong camp can help propel them to more playing time this fall.
