Zylstra taken off the PUP list
At the start of this year’s training camp, the Vikings revealed three players that had been placed on the team’s PUP list including wide receiver Brandon Zylstra.
On Monday, Minnesota removed Zylstra from the list and the second-year receiver took part in some individual drills during the team’s practice as he eases back from a hamstring injury.
Despite making the Vikings’ final roster last season, Zylstra has his work cut out for him to make the team this year. Minnesota has at least three spots up for grabs on their 2019 wide receiver depth chart and he has to fight for a job with guys like Chad Beebe, Jordan Taylor, Laquon Treadwell, Dillon Mitchell, Olabisi Johnson, and Davion Davis.
Zylstra has already missed valuable time out on the practice field, so he needs to figure out how to stay healthy for the rest of camp. If not, then his tenure with the Vikings might come to a close after just one season.
