What did we learn about the Minnesota Vikings following their disappointing loss on the road to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday?

With or without Patrick Mahomes suiting up, getting a road victory over the Kansas City Chiefs is still a difficult task. On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings had the opportunity to experience this as their four-game winning streak came to an end thanks to the Chiefs.

Even in a loss though, the Vikings did a lot of things right during their showdown with Kansas City. However, the negative aspects of Minnesota’s performance on Sunday obviously proved to be too much for them to overcome.

With a three-point lead early in the fourth quarter, it seemed like the Vikings were on track to earn their first victory inside Arrowhead Stadium since 1974. But the Chiefs’ offense was able to put together a couple of drives that ultimately resulted in them being the team to walk off the field with a win.

The loss is Minnesota’s first since Week 4 when they fell on the road to the Chicago Bears. Reactions to Sunday’s losing effort likely won’t be as dramatic for the Vikings as they were following their loss to the Bears, but there’s still plenty to take away from everything that went down in Kansas City.

So what did we learn about Minnesota from their latest performance that unfortunately resulted in their third loss of the 2019 season?
