The Minnesota Vikings had some opportunities to get a win in Week 17 against the Chicago Bears, but the team’s second string couldn’t finish the job.

It’s weird to have a game in Week 17 that is completely meaningless in terms of the playoffs for a team that has already secured a postseason spot. For the Minnesota Vikings, the tough decision was whether to play starters for momentum or rest them and look ahead to the Wild Card round.

Minnesota made the call to sit their starters and let them rest and heal while putting their reserves on the field. Despite that call, the Vikings were competitive during the game against the starters from the Chicago Bears, bringing this game down to the wire.

The Vikings came up short in this game with the Bears getting a 19-21 victory over the purple and gold. However, this will be an easy loss to brush off since the postseason starts next week and this game will be mostly forgettable.

But, before looking too far ahead at next week’s game, let’s look at the highs and lows from the game on Sunday, Dec. 29 between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears in Week 17 of the 2019 NFL season!
