Minnesota Vikings fans might finally see what this year’s team looks like.

Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no Minnesota Vikings preseason games this year. These exhibition games are usually the first time a number of Vikings fans get to see the team’s roster in action each year.

The preseason is also the time for new fan favorites to emerge. But with these games getting eliminated due to the pandemic, Minnesota fans will have to wait until the team’s first regular-season matchup on September 13 to view some of the team’s newest players in action.

That’s at least what everyone assumed. However, it appears that the Vikings might be offering a glimpse into what they’re doing on the practice field this summer.

Vikings News: “Training Camp Live” to be broadcast on August 17

Typically, Minnesota’s training camp practices take place in front of a crowd of fans at the TCO Performance Center. But due to the restrictions put in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, fans are not allowed to attend any of this year’s camp practices.

Luckily for Vikings fans though, the team has announced that on Monday, August 17 at 2:15 p.m. CT, “Vikings Training Camp Live” will broadcast live on their website, social media accounts, the radio, and on TV.

According to the team’s website, this will feature live coverage of Minnesota’s training camp and commentary from notable Vikings media personalities like Paul Allen, Pete Bercich, Ben Leber, and Greg Coleman.

In addition to this being streamed on their website and their social media accounts, it will also be broadcast live on local TV on FOX 9 and live on the radio on Minnesota’s KFAN FM 100.3.

Now, will this be an actual stream of the Vikings’ practice on Monday? Those details are still unknown, but this could be a possibility since other teams around the NFL have decided to stream at least one of their practice sessions on their official website and social media accounts.
