With the CFL season canceled, who might land with the Minnesota Vikings?

The Canadian Football League will not be playing in 2020 after it was recently announced that the season has been canceled. Due to this, players from the CFL will now be looking for an opportunity elsewhere.

Some of these guys might be worth considering for the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings could be on the lookout for some more reinforcements before their Week 1 regular-season opener against the Green Bay Packers. Bringing in CFL stars looking for work is not the worst idea in the world.

The canceled season is a significant blow for the CFL and its players. Most are not good enough to forge a successful career in the NFL, but there are others that come with some upside.

Minnesota is looking to mount another strong playoff run during the upcoming season. This means there will be no room for passengers across the roster and the Vikings might be more likely to go with players that boast more NFL experience rather than a talented individual from the CFL.

A lack of preseason games is another element to consider when looking at possible CFL players to bring in for a tryout. This is a key component to any individual on the fringes in their bid to make Minnesota’s 53-man roster.

The Vikings front office will have to determine whether this is a realistic avenue to go down in a bid to boost their roster. Let’s look at are four guys from the CFL that might be worth considering for Minnesota in this scenario.
