Davante Adams – WR

Davante Adams and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers have to be licking their chops when they look at the Vikings defense and the young group of corners they’ll be facing this week. Minnesota has purposely gone with a young and inexperienced secondary this season and with that inexperience, there will be some growing pains.

Adams and Rodgers will be one heck of a test for Mike Hughes, Holton Hill, Jeff Gladney, and company. Not only is Adams fast and explosive, but he’s a quick-twitch player who runs great routes.

Green Bay will surely try to exploit the Vikings’ young corners with different looks that will all likely result in the ball ending up in Adams’ hands. Adams will also probably use his experience to try and bait these young corners into making mistakes that will lead to him getting wide open.

The good news for Minnesota’s cornerbacks is that they performed well during the team’s training camp this summer. They battled one of the best receivers in the NFL in Adam Thielen every day in camp and reportedly, these young corners play without any fear.

The Vikings’ young corners won’t be intimidated by Adams or his reputation and they will challenge him from the start.  For Minnesota’s sake, let’s all hope their new-look group of corners can win more of these battles than they lose.
