Offensive MVP
Justin Jefferson – WR
Last week, Justin Jefferson got the offensive MVP for leading the team in receiving yards and looking like a player who could potentially contribute in future games. That potential realized itself quickly, as the rookie made a name for himself against the Titans.
Kirk Cousins targeted Jefferson nine times in this game with the youngster hauling in seven of those passes. He gained 175 yards, averaging an impressive 25 yards per catch and effectively taking over that deep threat role from the departed Stefon Diggs.
It looked as though Jefferson wasn’t going to get a touchdown in this game as other players were getting looks closer to the end zone, but it was a big 71-yard catch and run that gave him the first score of his NFL career.
This was a coming-out party for the receiver and he will likely be picked up in most fantasy football leagues this week. Not only that, but other teams will likely realize the Minnesota receiver demands some attention from their defense.
