Can the Minnesota Vikings get a win over the Houston Texans?

The Minnesota Vikings and Houston Texans both have one foot in the grave. With both teams off to an 0-3 start, it’s easy to dub their Week 4 matchup as the “Panic Bowl”. However, both teams got to their current state in different fashions.

For the Vikings, the pain started with a nine-point loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. After looking lost in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2, they showed signs of life in a 31-30 defeat at the hands of the Tennessee Titans in Week 3.

Whatever momentum was gained last Sunday by Minnesota could be slowed by losing a practice earlier this week. But the performances of Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson should give hope for the future.

The Texans got to 0-3 facing a gauntlet out of the gates. After traveling to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, Houston hosted the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2, and then they had to travel to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3.

Although they held a lead against the Steelers, the Texans have also shown improvement and they are hoping it carries over to this Sunday in their matchup with the Vikings.

Both Minnesota and Houston are in desperation mode when it comes to Sunday’s game. The Vikings and Texans were considered contenders in their respective divisions prior to the start of the season. But now, they find themselves wondering how they can fix their teams moving forward.

With both teams needing a victory, we take a look at what could happen in Week 4 and predict if Minnesota can escape Houston with their first win of the season.
