Keep going to Justin Jefferson

Justin Jefferson‘s breakout party wasn’t enough for the Minnesota Vikings to get a much-needed win, but there is little doubting the wide receiver’s potential at the next level.

This is something we saw flashes of during the first two games, but Jefferson thrived with more targets thrown his way against a Titans secondary that had no answer for the former LSU sensation.

However, what comes next for Jefferson will be equally as important.

Finding the right sort of consistency is going to be crucial for Jefferson, who will have a big bullseye on his back after securing seven receptions, 175 receiving yards, and one touchdown in Week 3. Rookie wideouts do tend to go through their fair share of inconsistent performances, but if the Vikings can keep him heavily involved then bigger and better things could be in their future.

Jefferson was on the field for 78 percent of the Vikings’ defensive snaps last weekend. This was a stark rise from his first fortnight of competitive action and if he can continue trending on an upward curve, it can only do more harm than good.

The Vikings might need to put some significant points on the board given their frailties on defense. Jefferson might not have it easy coming up against Bradley Roby and Vernon Hargreaves, but there is a definite possibility the player can make his presence felt once again.
