Are the experts right about the Vikings this week?

The experts are a bit generous with their power rankings this week. The Texans are an absolute dumpster fire this year and the Vikings nearly gave the game away in the final minutes.

Plus, looking ahead to Week 5, the purple and gold have to travel to take on the unbeaten Seattle Seahawks. Minnesota has lost six straight games against the Seahawks and they haven’t beat them on the road since the Dane Cook movie “Employee of the Month” was in theaters. A win in the Emerald City seems unlikely, so the Vikings will likely slide a bit again next week.

There is still a lot to like about this current Minnesota team though. Justin Jefferson is looking like an absolute stud while Dalvin Cook is leading the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns through the first four weeks of the season.

As a whole, the Vikings are likely best placed around 25 based on their overall performance this year. Some experts are putting too much weight on this one victory and artificially raising the team up the list. But they will probably come back down next week unless lightning strikes in Seattle.
