Can the Minnesota Vikings keep their momentum going in a primetime matchup with the Seattle Seahawks?
By most accounts, the Minnesota Vikings seem to be trending in the right direction. Although their record stands at 1-3 after a win over the Houston Texans in Week 4, it seems like there’s a lot to feel good about.
If the Vikings can keep moving in this direction, there may be time to salvage the season. But they have to start putting together more consistent performances.
That will be a tough task in Week 5 as they stay on the road to face the Seattle Seahawks. Minnesota won’t have to face the usual skull-cracking noise that accommodates Seattle’s Century Link Field this time around, but they’ll still have to deal with Russell Wilson and one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL.
The Vikings are a team that’s trending in the right direction defensively, but they still have plenty of issues. The Texans were one play away from potentially handing Minnesota an 0-4 record and the inexperience of cornerbacks Mike Hughes, Cameron Dantzler, and Holton Hill will be a big issue against the Seahawks’ aerial attack.
However, the Vikings have an offense that should be able to keep up with Seattle this week. Justin Jefferson has been a revelation during his first two starts and Dalvin Cook has continued to chew up yards on the ground.
With Sunday’s game looking to be a potential shootout, it figures to be an exciting Sunday night matchup. But the bigger question is if Minnesota can pull off the upset.
