The Minnesota Vikings got a win during their last matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars are set to face off on Sunday inside U.S. Bank Stadium. At 5-6, the Vikings are coming off a thrilling victory over the Carolina Panthers while the 1-10 Jaguars have not won a game since Week 1.

Against Jacksonville, Minnesota leads the all-time series 5-1, including wins in the previous four meetings.

The last time the Vikings and Jaguars faced each other came in back 2016 when the purple and gold traveled to Jacksonville.

Minnesota was able to get a win over the Jaguars by a final score of 25-16 during their last meeting. The victory improved the Vikings’ record to 7-6 on the season and they went on to finish the year at 8-8 on the outside of the playoffs.

Minnesota quarterback Sam Bradford completed 24 out of his 34 pass attempts for 292 yards and a touchdown. Adam Thielen caught four passes for 101 yards and Kyle Rudolph finished with four catches for 60 yards and a touchdown. Minnesota running back Matt Asiata added a rushing touchdown while Everson Griffen recorded two of the team’s four sacks in the matchup.

For Jacksonville, Blake Bortles completed 23 out of his 37 pass attempts for 257 yards and a touchdown. Jaguars receiver Marqise Lee caught five passes for 113 yards. Bryan Walters hauled in a touchdown and safety Jonathan Cyprien had a game-high 14 tackles.

After a rough start to the 2020 season, the Vikings are still in the playoff hunt. Very few people thought this team would be where they are at right now after starting 1-5, but crazy things happen a lot in the NFL.

Sunday’s game should be one that Minnesota should absolutely win, but again crazy things happen in this league.

The Vikings were not expected to lose to the Dallas Cowboys at home two weeks ago and they were not expected to beat the Panthers by such a small amount. Minnesota got the win last week, but it was a real nail biter and it required a big comeback.

The Vikings’ recent play along with the rookies performing well has made the 2020 season much more exciting all of a sudden. These final five games for Minnesota will be very interesting, to say the least.
