The Minnesota Vikings entered Week 14 sitting in the seventh and final spot in the NFC playoff picture and taking a trip to The Big Guava to take on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an important game.
Before the start, Tampa Bay was in the sixth spot in the NFC playoff picture and both could go a long way toward securing a postseason berth with a win on Sunday, making this an essential game with a lot on the line.
Sadly, the Vikings weren’t able to get the job done. They lost by a score of 14-26 and moved to a 6-7 record and fell out of the NFC playoff picture thanks to this loss and a win by Arizona. Now Minnesota will need some help if they want to make the postseason, even if they win out.
