It seems like Lebron James is constantly in the headlines. Between his excellent play on the basketball court, his vocal political views, his philanthropy, and his work as an actor, there is always something happening with the NBA superstar. However, he isn’t the only athlete making waves these days, as the Minnesota Vikings have a pretty good young player on their roster as well.

Fans are well aware of the amazing rookie season put together by Justin Jefferson. The former LSU standout took the league by storm, breaking the NFL record for receiving yards while getting some extra attention thanks to infecting the team with a Griddy celebration that spread throughout the roster.

Recently, Justin Jefferson tagged Lebron in an Instagram post, sharing that he was excited about the upcoming Space Jam movie the NBA legend will be starring in titled Space Jam: A New Legacy. The rookie pass-catcher got a reply on Lebron’s Instagram, which caught the eye of the Vikings social media team and was shared on Twitter.

Lebron says the film is going to be “one helluva roller coaster” and finishes his reply by adding “By the way helluva rookie year! Sheesh!!!”

The Vikings took this opportunity to use this post to help promote Justin Jefferson’s chances to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. As it stands, Jefferson is likely the underdog to win the award with Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert being the favorite, but it’s hard to know which amazing rookie will bring home the award.

If nothing, it’s always great to see two extraordinary athletes share their appreciation for each other in such a public way. At 36 years old, Lebron James has cemented his place as a future Hall of Fame player in the NBA. However, Justin Jefferson has a long career ahead of him at only 21 years of age.
