Joe Thuney, guard

This is not a misprint. This dream version of the Minnesota Vikings has two new starters at guard, but Joe Thuney would be taking over the spot on the left side to help protect the blind side of Kirk Cousins.

2020 saw the Vikings try several players at left guard in hopes that one of them would do well enough to be at least serviceable. Instead, Minnesota only got disappointment from their blockers and now has no answer at the spot moving forward.

Thuney is bound to have a huge payday this offseason wherever he signs. If money were no object, this would be the first player the Vikings would likely be chasing down in free agency since it would strike out what is arguably the biggest need for the team.

At 28 years old, Thuney hasn’t missed a single game since entering the NFL and has played in no less than 96 percent of the New England Patriots’ offensive snaps. His reliability and high level of play make him an elite player at an underrated position.

Which of these free agents would you put on your version of the Minnesota Vikings super team? And who else would you want to see in this fantasy version of the purple and gold? Let us know in the comments!
