6 free-agent returners the Vikings could sign in 2021

Cordarrelle Patterson
This is an interesting one as Cordarrelle Patterson would be a massive boost to the Vikings return game, but it’s unknown if there are still any hard feelings from the team parting ways with him in 2017.
Patterson, while not living up to his first-round draft status as a receiver, has forged a solid career for himself as a dynamic return man and versatile gadget player on offense. He has eight career kick return touchdowns and he’s averaged 29.8 yards per return during his time in the NFL.
Despite being almost 30-years-old, Patterson still has great acceleration and once he hits that top gear, no one is going to catch him.
Not only would he be the Vikings‘ primary kick returner, but he could also be the team’s third wide receiver and emergency running back in 2021. He could fill three roles on the team, which would make him a very worthwhile investment.
