Which current players from their roster could the Minnesota Vikings use in a trade package to move up in the upcoming NFL Draft?

If there is one thing Rick Spielman will ever be remembered for from his tenure as the general manager of the Minnesota Vikings, it will likely be for the number of trades he has made during each NFL Draft he has participated in.

Last year, the Vikings entered the 2020 draft with 12 selections. By the time the three days of the draft had concluded, Minnesota had added a total of 15 new players to their roster, thanks to Spielman doing his typical wheeling and dealing.

Currently, the Vikings have 10 picks in the upcoming 2021 draft. Spielman has never participated in a draft without making at least one trade since Minnesota promoted him to be their general manager in 2012, so expect more of the same this year.

With the upcoming season being a bit of a make-or-break year for Spielman and Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer, perhaps the team’s general manager will look to be a little more aggressive than in previous drafts. If Spielman sees a prospect available who he believes could make an immediate impact for Minnesota in 2021, he might be more willing to do whatever it takes to trade up and select his target.

In order to make some of these aggressive moves, however, the Vikings might have to include a player in their trade offers. Who are some of the guys from Minnesota’s current roster that Spielman could use in a trade package to move up in this year’s NFL Draft?
