Who are five prospects the Minnesota Vikings hope fall into their laps in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft?

The Minnesota Vikings earned themselves the 14th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft after posting a 7-9 record. With that pick, they are expected to take an offensive lineman or an edge rusher but will have to wait quite a while to make their second choice.

The Vikings traded their second-round pick to get Yannick Ngakoue and that only lasted for six games. While that was a terrible trade by Rick Spielman, at least he had the foresight to deal Ngakoue when he realized the season was going down the crapper, getting a third-round pick back in the process.

That unfortunate deal means that the Vikings will have to sit tight for 64 picks before they get to add another player to their roster. They’ll be watching the board closely and will be hoping a handful of players fall to round three.

Who are some of these prospects that would be great fits in purple who, if the dominoes fall the right way, could still be available at pick No. 78.
