What are some of the most surprising moves and decisions made by the Minnesota Vikings during the 2021 NFL Draft?

The 2021 NFL Draft is sadly over. The Minnesota Vikings were able to fill some major holes on both sides of the football and they found plenty of quality players who could have an impact on the team’s 2021 season.

Guys like Christian Darrisaw, Wyatt Davis, and Patrick Jones II could all see plenty of action as rookies, and each is likely to start at least a few games for the Vikings in 2021.

Minnesota also found role players on special teams and they will have a heated competition when it comes to the kick and punt returner position.

The Vikings didn’t follow the same script they usually do during the draft this year and they actually made some moves that surprised many of their fans. Some of these were with the types of players they took, and others were just Minnesota general manager Rick Spielman bucking some trends of the past.
