4 former Vikings who won’t be back for the 2021 season

Nick Easton – OL
If it feels like the Vikings are always looking for help on their offensive line, it’s because they are. So when former Minnesota blocker Nick Easton was let go by the New Orleans Saints earlier this year, some thought a return to the Twin Cities could be in his future.
The Vikings were reportedly interested in bringing Easton back, and they even sent him a contract offer. But it obviously wasn’t enough to convince the former Minnesota offensive linemen to re-sign with his old team.
Easton is still a free agent, and depending on what the Vikings were going to do in the 2021 NFL Draft, some felt he could still end up playing for the purple and gold next season.
Well, that doesn’t seem very likely after Minnesota actually decided to use more early-round draft selections on offensive linemen last week.
With their top pick in this year’s draft, the Vikings added a stud left tackle in Christian Darrisaw, and then in the third round, Minnesota was able to grab former Ohio State guard Wyatt Davis.
Since he’s younger and cheaper, the addition of Davis should probably eliminate any chance of Easton re-joining the Vikings this summer.
