Best prop bets for Minnesota Vikings vs. Seattle Seahawks in Week 3
By Adam Patrick
Which prop bets from the Week 3 matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks could result in the biggest rewards?
For the first time this season, the Minnesota Vikings will get to play a game at home inside U.S. Bank Stadium. On Sunday, the Vikings will attempt to get their first win of the year against the Seattle Seahawks, a team they haven’t defeated since 2009.
Despite the two teams facing each other seven times since 2012, Minnesota and Seattle have never played a regular-season game inside U.S. Bank Stadium.
With fans back in the stands this year, the Vikings should get a big boost from playing in their home stadium on Sunday. Hopefully, it leads to Minnesota capturing their first win of the season.
Best Minnesota Vikings prop bets for Week 3
Bet No. 1
- K.J. Osborn anytime TD score (+200)
With Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen getting the majority of the attention from opposing pass defenses, K.J. Osborn is going to get a bunch of opportunities to make plays this season.
Last week, Osborn and Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins connected for a long touchdown on the offense’s second play of the game. Cousins taking a chance on Osborn early in the matchup shows that the quarterback’s trust with the second-year receiver has grown tremendously during the last few weeks, and it will only continue to grow as the season goes on.
Osborn should have some opportunities to find the end zone on Sunday against a Seahawks defense that is allowing over 11 yards per completion this year. With at least six targets in Minnesota’s first two games this season, expect the young receiver to get plenty of chances to score this weekend against Seattle.
Bet No. 2
- Adam Thielen first touchdown scorer of the game (+1000)
Now, this is definitely a much riskier bet than the one above. However, the payoff for it if it happens will be much more rewarding.
Typically, Dalvin Cook would be the best Vikings player to bet on scoring the first touchdown. However, Cook is questionable for Sunday’s game, and even if he plays, the Vikings might try to pass a little more than usual to take some of the load off of their top running back’s shoulders.
Adam Thielen is easily the favorite passing target of Cousins’, so if Minnesota gets an opportunity to throw the football near their opponent’s end zone early in the contest, expect these two to try and connect for a Vikings touchdown.
