The Vikings will lose by more than one score in Los Angeles

Looking at the NFC standings, there’s a Lloyd Christmas chance that the Vikings could make the playoffs. But with the off-the-field issues stacking up, it’s hard to see how they can come away with a victory in Los Angeles.

The Vikings were just gassed in Baltimore and had to hop back on a plane to go back to Minnesota. Upon their return, their star running back had a domestic violence incident while the team endured a COVID outbreak.

After one player was reportedly sent to the hospital, the Vikings moved ahead with practice before getting on a plane to Los Angeles. When they get off the plane, they’ll run into a true AFC contender with the task of turning their season around.

If that situation doesn’t sound ideal, you’re probably right.

The Vikings have shown that they can beat any team in the league but they’ve also shown they can lose to any team in the league. With the same patterns repeating themselves and the added wrinkle of off-field drama, this doesn’t look like a team poised to make a run that has to begin with a victory on Sunday.

Prediction: Chargers 37, Vikings 10
