When playing two primetime games in a row, Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has never led his team to a win in both matchups.

On Monday night, the Minnesota Vikings and Kirk Cousins will make their annual trip to the Windy City to take on Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears.

With four games left on their schedule, this Week 15 matchup with the Bears is extremely important for the Vikings and their chances to make the playoffs this season. At 6-7 after their first 13 games this year, Minnesota really cannot afford a loss to Chicago on Monday.

This week will also be the second in a row in which the Vikings will be playing in a primetime matchup. Unfortunately for Minnesota, their starting quarterback hasn’t had much success when he’s been in this situation in the past.

Does a Kirk Cousins stat mean the Minnesota Vikings will lose to the Chicago Bears on Monday night?

Since Cousins became a full-time NFL starter in 2015, none of his teams have been able to win back-to-back primetime games. Meaning, when the veteran quarterback has suited up for a primetime matchup two weeks in a row, he’s never come out on the winning end in both contests.

This scenario happened to Cousins twice in 2017 and once in 2018. During both instances, his teams were able to come out of both matchups with only one win.

This comes into play this week as Monday’s game in Chicago will have the Vikings playing in primetime for the second week in a row.

Will Cousins be able to put an end to this trend in his career on Monday against the Bears or will his teams continue to falter when forced to play primetime games in back-to-back weeks?
