Vikings post-minicamp 53-man roster prediction
By Adam Carlson
Which players will be on the 53-man roster of the Minnesota Vikings? The projected roster is becoming more clear now that minicamp is over.
Minicamp has come to a close and teams are one step closer to taking the field for the 2022 NFL season. Before that can happen, some difficult decisions will need to be made by every team in the league, including the Minnesota Vikings.
Narrowing the roster down to 53 players for the upcoming season will be a real challenge. Even though some players are expected to make the final roster. others will need to be impressive in training camp and preseason in order to secure a spot.
Let’s take a look at the team’s roster and see who will likely be on the team’s roster when the regular season kicks off.

Quarterbacks (3)
- Kirk Cousins, Sean Mannion, Kellen Mond
Whether you believe in him or not, Kirk Cousins is the man to lead the Minnesota Vikings at quarterback. As part of a new-look offense, it will be interesting to see if Cousins can have even more success this year.
The Vikings seem to love Sean Mannion despite a lack of production as a passer. He threw his first NFL touchdown last season and seems to be a player the team regards highly during film study and in meetings. Let’s hope he doesn’t have to suit up though.
Finally, Kellen Mond has been getting a little bit of hype lately and there is hope he can develop into a future contributor. Although he’s still working on his craft, there is still value in protecting the team’s third-round pick in 2021.
