Get back into the playoffs

Whether you think that quarterback wins are a legitimate stat or not is irrelevant. Kirk Cousins has to get the Vikings back into the postseason in 2022.

This seems like the minimum goal for the Vikings when one considers the number of difference-makers they possess all over the field. All Cousins has to do is steer them in the right direction with consistent distribution and controlling the tempo.

There will be some growing pains under the new regime. But some opportunities could be knocking within an NFC North division that isn’t expected to be the strongest.

Fans are looking forward with a quiet sense of optimism.

However, what can go wrong, normally does for the Vikings.

It’s a stigma that’s made the franchise one of the most turbulent to follow since its inception. They are still waiting for their first Super Bowl, and although Cousins might not have that in him, he’s already proven capable of taking Minnesota to the dance and achieving success in the knockout stage.

Anything less will be deemed a huge failure. Something that could see the Vikings examine the quarterback prospects coming out of an exceptional class in 2023.
