With their 2022 training camp now over, what were we able to learn about the Minnesota Vikings and their chances for success during the upcoming season?

On Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings concluded their second and final joint practice with the San Francisco 49ers. Not only was this the Vikings’ final practice with the 49ers though, it was also Minnesota’s final practice of their 2022 training camp.

It feels like the Vikings were just jogging onto the practice fields for the opening day of their first-ever training camp under new head coach Kevin O’Connell. But camp is now over for Minnesota and the focus will shift to tweaking the roster before the start of the regular season.

With O’Connell now leading the way, things have felt a bit more upbeat and positive around the Vikings’ facilities and inside their locker room. Minnesota’s new head coach still has his guys working hard each practice, but there has seemed to be more of an emphasis placed on keeping players as healthy as possible before the start of the regular season in a few weeks.

Looking back at everything that took place on the practice fields at the TCO Performance Center this summer, what are some of the biggest takeaways from the Vikings‘ first training camp with O’Connell as their head coach?
