The Minnesota Vikings lost yet another preseason game this past weekend. What are some silver linings from the defeat?

The Minnesota Vikings hosted the San Francisco 49ers last Saturday in their second game of the 2022 preseason. The Vikings came out on the short end of the stick on this one, struggling to find much on offense and they ultimately lost the contest 17-7.

The game doesn’t count, as it is just an exhibition, but it would be nice to see some of Minnesota’s younger players get their first taste of a victory in the NFL, and for Kevin O’Connell to get his first win as the Vikings’ head coach.

Minnesota lost the game to the 49ers due to some shaky play from quarterback Kellen Mond and a handful of receivers who struggled to catch the football. The Vikings‘ defense held its own as long as it could, but it was evident that they were tired late, and San Francisco had little trouble moving the ball down the field.

The game wasn’t a pretty one to watch, but there are still some positives Minnesota can take from it. So what are some of the silver linings from Minnesota’s loss to the 49ers?
