6 biggest takeaways from the Vikings loss to the Eagles in Week 2
By Luke Parrish
The Minnesota Vikings looked miserable on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles and taught us plenty of lessons in the process.
Following their dominant Week 1 victory, the Minnesota Vikings headed to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles as part of a Monday Night Football doubleheader. The lights were shining bright and Kirk Cousins reverted back to the Kirk Cousins of old.
Philly is one of many playoff hopefuls in the NFC this season and that squad can certainly make a run at a first-round home game if things go to plan. Despite this being an early bout in the season, plenty was on the line for Cousins and this new-look offense.
The Eagles jumped up early and never looked back with the home crowd having every reason to explode. For the Vikings, they were just happy to leave the city of brotherly love without completely embarrassing themselves – though that is still up in the air.
A scoreless second half eased the Eagles to a 24-7 victory. Kirk Cousins and the offense have to quickly put this game behind them and figure out a way to beat the Lions next week or else things will get interesting in Minnesota.
With two weeks in the books, what can we confidently say we have learned about this Vikings team?
