Minnesota Vikings vs. Arizona Cardinals early prediction and odds for Week 8
By Adam Patrick
After a week off, the Minnesota Vikings will look to add another win to their 5-1 record when they take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8.
Following some much-needed time to rest and prepare for their remaining games in the 2022 season, the Minnesota Vikings will return from their bye for a Week 8 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals inside U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday.
The Cardinals are coming off a win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 7, thanks in part to the return of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who served a six-game suspension to begin the season.
Will the Vikings come out firing in their first matchup after their bye, or will Arizona and Hopkins be able to pull off an upset in front of a stadium packed with people in purple jerseys?

Minnesota Vikings vs. Arizona Cardinals prediction Week 8
Some might think this won’t matter, but the start time of Sunday’s game could be a big key in determining which team comes away with a win.
This weekend’s matchup between the Vikings and Cardinals is set to begin at 12 p.m. CST on Minnesota’s home field. Since 2018, the Vikings are 10-1 in home games that begin at 12 p.m. CST or earlier during the months of October and November.
During this same time period, Arizona is 3-6 on the road in matchups that begin at 12 p.m. CST in the months of October and November. The Cardinals’ last victory came back in 2020 when they won a Week 5 contest on the road over a winless New York Jets team by a final score of 30-10.
With Kirk Cousins under center, Minnesota is just harder to defeat inside U.S. Bank Stadium when a matchup kicks off at 12 p.m. CST, and this will continue to be the case on Sunday when they take on Arizona.
Prediction: Vikings win
