Odell Beckham Jr. – WR

If/when Odell Beckham Jr. signs with his 2022 home, to say the team is adding star power to their offense is an understatement. Despite having the best wide receiver in Justin Jefferson, the Vikings should consider adding their name to that list.

The connections are already there, with Beckham Jr. winning his first Superbowl with the L.A. Rams and playing under head coach Kevin O’Connell when O’Connell was the Rams’ offensive coordinator last season.

Add in the LSU connection to Jefferson, and Beckham in purple and gold seems like a surefire move. The team was rumored to look at veteran wide receivers such as Brandin Cooks before the trade deadline, but they ultimately made a move to add a tight end.

If adding a veteran receiver that now complements Jefferson and new tight end T.J. Hockenson is still in Minnesota’s thought process, Beckham would be the best free-agent wide receiver by far and the best that the team could sign for a playoff run.

Time will tell on who lands Beckham, but the VIkings should remain a quiet but strong landing spot, as their interest in the veteran wideout has been reported.

For Beckham, his familiarity with O’Connell and desire to run it back with the coach that gave him his first Superbowl may be enough to sign a below-market value contract to chase a ring as a member of the Vikings.
