Following the 2022 season, who are some of the players the Minnesota Vikings should consider trading during the 2023 offseason?

Currently, the Minnesota Vikings are in the middle of a very successful season. With an 11-3 record heading into Week 16, the Vikings have already clinched the NFC North, and they’re in sole possession of the No. 2 seed in the NFC.

Who knows how Minnesota’s 2022 season will come to an end, but once it does, the team is going to have a lot of important decisions to make during the upcoming offseason.

According to OverTheCap.com, the Vikings are currently projected to begin the new league year in 2023 more than $6 million over the salary cap.

Obviously, Minnesota will have to figure out a way to get under the salary cap before free agency begins in 2023, and then, of course, they’re going to want to clear even more space to have some actual spending money to add free agents to their roster.

One route the Vikings can take to create some cap space in 2023 would be to trade some of their high-priced veterans. Aside from clearing cap space, Minnesota might also just be looking to move on from some players that don’t fit the vision they have planned for the team’s future.

So when looking at the players that are currently scheduled to be a part of the Vikings’ 2023 squad, who are some members of their roster that the team should be willing to part with in a trade during the upcoming offseason?
