In his second game back after spending a few weeks on injured reserve, Aaron Jones quickly proved why the Minnesota Vikings decided to sign him to a new contract last March with a performance that played a large role in the team's unexpected Week 9 win over the heavily favored Detroit Lions.

With the victory, the Vikings improved their current record to 4-4, and in a recent chat with The Viking Age, Jones shared why there's a good chance that Minnesota's performance in Week 9 is something that could continue for the remainder of the 2025 season.

"We have all the pieces that we need here in this locker room. It's just a matter of putting it
together now, and last week, I feel like we finally got back healthy. [We got] all our pieces back out there together for the first time and [we saw] it all come together.

[So], now it's about stacking it and continuing to stack it [while never being] like, 'Yes, we won.' Never too high, never too low. [Just] go back to work and stack it."

Minnesota Vikings RB Aaron Jones shares update on injury suffered in Week 9 win over Detroit Lions

In addition to talking about how things are finally starting to come together for the Vikings this season, Jones also shared an update on the shoulder injury he suffered in the team's victory over the Lions last weekend.

"Doing a lot better, I've got a lot more movement. Feeling confident about it, so I feel like it's nothing that's going to slow me down."

His status for Minnesota's upcoming Week 10 showdown inside U.S. Bank Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens is still unknown, but after what he did last Sunday in Detroit, the Vikings are definitely hoping he can suit up this weekend.

Jones spoke with The Viking Age earlier this week on behalf of HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Bacon and Frank’s RedHot® as he's gearing up for the #ONEVERYTHINGCHALLENGE livestream on his Instagram account on Tuesday, November 11th.

During the livestream, the Minnesota running back will be trying fan-submitted recipes of bacon and hot sauce-inspired combinations.

Fans can submit recipes for Jones to potentially try next Tuesday by visiting the @blacklabelbacon Instagram page, selecting the HORMEL® BLACK LABEL® Frank's RedHot® flavored bacon post, and leaving a comment that includes the hashtag #OnEverythingChallenge and details of the recipe they want to share.
