In his return to Lambeau Field last year as a member of the Minnesota Vikings for the first time, Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones delivered a solid performance that helped lead his new team to a 31-29 win over the Green Bay Packers.
However, Jones didn't end up scoring a touchdown in the matchup, so he was unable to fulfill his goal of doing the well-known Lambeau Leap celebration in a Vikings jersey.
After failing to reach the end zone in his return to Green Bay last season, Jones shared on Thursday that he's even more motivated to score a touchdown in Minnesota's upcoming trip to Lambeau Field this weekend.
"I think I'm even more excited about it than I was last year because I didn't get in [the end zone] last year. So, it's definitely something.
I gotta smell the end zone. Find a way to make it happen one way or another and then get my leap in [during the game] instead of after [the game] this time."
Minnesota Vikings and Aaron Jones look to extend winning streak against Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field
Getting a win at Lambeau Field is never easy for visiting teams, but the Vikings are actually one of the few squads that have had some success in Green Bay during the last several years.
Dating back to 2015, the Packers have only come out with a victory in four of the previous 10 matchups on their home field against Minnesota.
The Vikings have won two straight at Lambeau Field, and if Minnesota comes out on top this weekend, it will be the first time they've won three games in a row at Green Bay since the 1993 season.
Hopefully, Minnesota is not only able to extend its winning streak at Lambeau Field this weekend, but Jones is also able to make the victory even worse for Packers fans by scoring a touchdown and celebrating with the Lambeau Leap.
