When thinking about Jared Allen, fans of the Minnesota Vikings likely think of a dominant pass rusher who consistently put pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Other than that, the mullet and fun introduction videos are likely second.

There is another side to the six-foot-six defender that isn't seen as often. The fun and aggressive sides of him are enough to be drawn to him, but the emotional side is another part of the Vikings legend that makes him so special.

Minnesota Vikings fans had to enjoy what Jared Allen said during his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Jared Allen joining the Pro Football Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2025 is quite an honor. The former Minnesota Vikings defender also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers.

During his speech transcribed by NFL.com, Allen said something about each of his former teams, but it was clear that Minnesota holds a special place in his heart.

"As a Norseman by blood, because I am Norwegian, it was only fitting I became a Viking. … The entire Wilf family, I don't think I can ever truly express the depths of my gratitude to your entire organization. I'm a firm believer that God puts people in your life at the appropriate times, and what you did for the growth of my career, and more importantly, the people that you surrounded me with in that organization helped me grow as a man, that is why I will forever call the Vikings my home."

Depite an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction, Jared Allen's induction was a fantastic display of who he is and what he meant to the NFL as well as the Vikings. Saying that he will forever call the Vikings his home means so much to a franchise that adores him and embraced him in purple and gold.

"This jacket is a direct reflection of all of you who have poured into my life and my career. I might be the one wearing this jacket, but I hope every time you see this jacket you see yourself."

A humble statement from Jared Allen giving credit to those who helped him on his NFL journey speaks volumes about who he is and how grateful he is for everything that helped him become the player he was and the person he is today.
