The Minnesota Vikings could select a wide variety of players during the 2026 NFL Draft. With needs all over the roster and spots that could use an injection of young talent, the franchise is as unpredictable as ever when they are on the clock.

After relieving Kwesi Adofo-Mensah of general manager duties this offseason, it is expected that Rob Brzezinski will spearhead the draft approach for the Vikings. He and his scouts could be drawn to any number of prospects who declared for the 2026 NFL Draft.

One area that Minnesota might look to improve this offseason is the rushing attack. Although Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason were solid last season, it would be difficult not to be enamored by some of the top running back prospects.

Fans hoping for Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love to fall to the Minnesota Vikings during the 2026 NFL Draft might have their dreams shattered.

When looking at the running back prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft, it's easy to see Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love at the top of the list. A Heisman finalist and Doak Walker Award winner, picturing an explosive running back like Love in the Minnesota Vikings backfield has to be appealing.

Sadly, the odds of the 20-year-old running back falling to the Vikings are slim. To make matters worse, a recent video shared by Matthew Berry on the Rotoworld Football X account linked the Notre Dame rusher to teams that make a lot of sense, and some of the teams listed pick well before Minnesota is on the clock.

Berry names teams like the Kansas City Chiefs (No. 9 overall), Washington Commanders (No. 7 overall), and New Orleans Saints (No. 8 overall) as possible exciting landing spots for the Fighting Irish rusher.

And while it would be surprising for Jeremiyah Love to make it past all those teams, Berry throws out his "wild card" destination for Love, which happened to be the Tennessee Titans, who currently hold the No. 4 overall pick and are rumored to be interested.

With this gauntlet of teams ahead of the Minnesota Vikings to potentially draft Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, the odds of him making it all the way to No. 18 are extremely low. And while the purple and gold could trade up if they want him that badly, it would have to be the right situation to make a move like that at the 2026 NFL Draft.
