After four seasons as a member of the Minnesota Vikings, wide receiver Jalen Nailor is heading west as he has reportedly agreed to a three-year contract worth $35 million with the Las Vegas Raiders, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

Minnesota would have loved to re-sign Nailor, but giving him a deal that pays him an average of $11.7 million per season was not something they were ever going to do.

With the amount of money the Raiders gave to Nailor, it's fair to assume he is going to have a significant role in their offense next season, which is exactly what he was hoping for in free agency this year.

Now that Nailor is on his way out, the Vikings will have to figure out how to replace him on their depth chart this offseason.

Minnesota is set with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison at the top of its wide receiver depth chart, but who emerges as the team's No. 3 pass-catcher for next season just became a lot more intriguing.

Currently, Tai Felton and Myles Price are the only other wide receivers under contract with the Vikings past the 2026 campaign. Minnesota also has wideouts Joaquin Davis, Dontae Fleming, and Jeshaun Jones signed to futures deals.

Ideally, the Vikings would probably like Felton to step up and take over Nailor's spot as the team's No. 3 receiver next season, but that's far from a guarantee. Minnesota used a third-round pick on Felton in last year's NFL Draft, and then he went on to haul in a total of only three passes last season.

If the Vikings aren't confident enough in Felton yet, they could turn to free agency and potentially add a veteran pass-catcher. There are several intriguing veteran free-agent wide receivers who could come in and quickly establish themselves as Minnesota's new No. 3 option.

Of course, the Vikings could also make another attempt to add a receiver in the upcoming NFL Draft.

With no official general manager in place right now, it will be interesting to see how Minnesota attempts to replace Nailor this offseason.
