The Minnesota Vikings have been aggressive this offseason. They worked to identify potential weaknesses on the roster and fill them with talented players through free agency or trades in preparation for the 2025 NFL season.

Some of the moves are getting a lot of love from fans. Beefing up the offensive and defensive lines was a must this offseason and the Vikings hit those areas hard in free agency. They also re-signed their top young cornerback from last season, Byron Murphy Jr., to a multi-year deal.

However, some movesĀ aren't getting talked about enough in the Minnesota fandom. Who are some of those players who were a part of an offseason move that will have an impact on the purple and gold in 2025?

These offseason moves by the Minnesota Vikings aren't getting talked about enough

Losing safety Camryn Bynum

Not enough fans know how well Camryn Bynum played for the Minnesota Vikings. Now a member of the Indianapolis Colts, there will be a hole next to veteran Harrison Smith in the secondary where a player will hopefully step up to take the job.

At the moment, the options don't look great. Brian Flores' Swiss army knife, Josh Metellus, is at his best when not consistently playing one defined position. That leaves Theo Jackson, Jay Ward, and Bubba Bolden to fight it out unless safety becomes a draft priority.

Signing linebacker Eric Wilson

There is something to be said for experience and depth. Blake Cashman and Ivan Pace Jr. aren't likely to lose a starting job to Eric Wilson, but having him available will allow the team to give them some rest and provide insurance in case of injury.

The 30-year-old linebacker was originally an undrafted free agent of the Vikings in 2017 and brings 39 games of starting experience in 125 games played to a team hoping to be aggressive on defense in 2025.

Re-signing running back Aaron Jones

Aaron Jones isn't the headline he used to be in Green Bay, but he was a reliable running back last season and his two-year extension allows for some continuity in the run game and creates a solid floor for quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

Minnesota doubled down on running backs by trading for 49ers rusher Jordan Mason. This gives the Vikings a backup who proved to be effective in San Francisco last year and can help to keep Jones fresh and healthy.

Signing cornerback Isaiah Rodgers

Quite possibly the most underrated signing of the Minnesota Vikings this offseason, Isaiah Rodgers could surprise a lot of fans with his ability as a defensive player and return specialist who handled kickoffs for the Colts and Eagles.

It's sad that he's known for being one of the players penalized for gambling and was suspended for the entire 2023 NFL season because he's a sneaky corner who could be a contender to win a starting gig in 2025.

Signing wide receiver Rondale Moore

Before anyone gets too riled up about Rondale Moore being on this list, let me remind people that's he's not Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, or T.J. Hockenson. He won't cut into their targets, but he does offer something different.

When healthy, Moore is a lightning bolt that will force defenses to space out their coverage and commit to not giving up the big play. If he can successfully do that in Minnesota, it will only make the Vikings' offense better.
