Earlier in the week, the Minnesota Vikings were unsure if running back Aaron Jones was going to even be able to play on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Well, Jones did end up taking the field for the Vikings this weekend, and it took him exactly one play to make an impact for the purple and gold, as he scored the team's opening touchdown on his first carry of the matchup.

Minnesota Vikings RB Aaron Jones finally does new TD celebration in Week 7 vs. the Detroit Lions

Jones's first-quarter touchdown against Detroit on Sunday might turn out to be the easiest of his entire 2024 season, as he went completely untouched before eventually crossing the goal line to put six points on the board for Minnesota.

Following the score, Jones was finally able to do a touchdown celebration that he's been talking about for the last few weeks, something he's calling the "Bank Vault".

Once the veteran running back reached the end zone for the score, he quickly headed toward the stands and jumped into a crowd of excited Vikings fans.

As a member of the Green Bay Packers for seven years, Jones frequently did the "Lambeau Leap" after scoring touchdowns. So, now that he plays his home games inside U.S. Bank Stadium, he's changed the name of the same celebration to better represent his current team in Minnesota.

Believe it or not, that was only Jones's second rushing touchdown of the 2024 season and his first since the Vikings' Week 1 win over the New York Giants. Minnesota's top running back does also have two receiving scores this year, so he had a total of three touchdowns heading into Sunday.

Jones has arguably been the Vikings' best new addition of the year, and his first-quarter trip to the end zone against Detroit was just more proof.
