The 2025 NFL season contines to creep nearer as training camp is right around the corner for teams like the Minnesota Vikings and the pressure of the upcoming season will begin to form around the team.

There are players with big bust potential. Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy is a complete unknown as an NFL starter but fans will get the opportunity to prove himself with a great supporting cast, history of success, and an amazing coaching staff to help him develop.

But that brings up the biggest question, what player is most likely to be a bust for Minnesota in 2025 and how obvious will the struggle be?

Nobody wants a player to be a bust, but the odds are stacked against some players. That includes the Minnesota Vikings.

The biggest question is what each player's role with the Minnesota Vikings will be in 2025. If Rondale Moore is expected to come in and be the team's No. 3 wide receiver and fill in as No. 2 when Jordan Addison is out, then that might not be great.

Moore might have a ton of speed and three seasons of experience in Arizona, but putting that kind of pressure on someone who has only scored three receiving touchdowns is asking a lot of the 25-year-old free agent signing.

The good news is that the Vikings have not invested too heavily in Moore. His deal is for one season and is worth $2 million. Not only that, but Minnesota drafted Tai Felton out of Maryland in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft to provide some insurance for the pending Addison suspension and possible Moore struggles.

Rondale Moore has never had more than 500 receiving yards in a season. That's not saying it can't happen during his first season in Minnesota, but it would be amazing if he can be the contributor his potential shows that made him a second-round pick of the Cardinals in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Minnesota may look to get more value out of Moore by having him as a return specialist or designing plays to run the ball with him. If he can do that, and prove to be a reliable target for J.J. McCarthy in the Vikings' offense, he may be able to establish himself as a solid weapon and remove any doubts that could lead people to believe he could be a bust in 2025.
