Just when Minnesota Vikings fans couldn't feel the effects of not having some of their starting linemen on offense, it certainly didn't get better against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

During the Vikings' field goal with kicker Will Reichard, starting offensive tackle Brian O'Neill went down with an injury and was able to walk off the field. Minnesota has called it a knee injury, and his return to the game was questionable before he was ruled out at the start of the third quarter. Justin Skule replaced O'Neill at right tackle.

That wasn't the only injury, though, as center Ryan Kelly did not start the second half of the game as he was being evaluated for a concussion. Michael Jurgens was taking over as the center for Minnesota. Jurgens also finds himself heading to the blue tent with an injury, but he has since returned.

The Minnesota Vikings are dealing with a banged up offensive line

Going into the game, the Vikings had issues with offensive linemen being hurt. Starting rookie guard Donovan Jackson was ruled out of the game with a wrist injury. Offensive tackle Walter Rouse was also inactive for the game.

It's starting to become a problem for the Vikings, especially with the team already dealing with quarterback J.J. McCarthy and running back Aaron Jones being hurt and out for an extended time. The offensive line needs to be the glue to hold everything together.

As of the third quarter, Carson Wentz was sacked three times, and the Vikings' rushing attack has struggled with an average of 2.6 yards per carry. The Minnesota offensive line has not been able to get anything going for the team.

With the injuries starting to pile up, this will not only be a problem for the rest of the game, but depth concerns will begin to linger after the game. It will be a problem since the Vikings are staying in Europe for another week as they take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 5.

Can the Vikings' offensive line hold strong for the time being? Fans are sure hoping so.
