Vikings inactives list for Week 7 game against the Lions in U.S. Bank Stadium

As it has been the case for the team's previous games this season, there are no real surprises when it comes to the list of Minnesota Vikings inactives for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

On Friday, the Vikings ruled out linebacker Blake Cashman and cornerback Akayleb Evans, so we've already known that both players would be sidelined for Sunday's game. There will also be no regular-season debuts made by Minnesota tight end T.J. Hockenson or guard Dalton Risner this week, as the team has also ruled them out for the contest.

As for Vikings running back Aaron Jones, it seems like he's going to give it a go on Sunday. Jones has been dealing with a hamstring injury since Minnesota's Week 5 win over the New York Jets, but it doesn't seem severe enough to prevent him from at least trying to see if he can make an impact against Detroit this weekend.

Minnesota Vikings inactives for Week 7 against the Detroit Lions

For the Lions, we already know that they will be without star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson on Sunday. Hutchinson suffered a serious leg injury in Detroit's win over the Dallas Cowboys last week, and he's expected to miss the remainder of the 2024 regular season.

In addition, the Lions will be without starting right guard Kevin Zeitler for Sunday's contest against the Vikings. Zeitler suffered an injury in practice this past week, and unfortunately for Detroit, it's significant enough that it will prevent him from playing this weekend.

On a positive note for the Lions, starting cornerback Carlton Davis III will be on the field for the Lions on Sunday in Minnesota. Davis missed two practices leading up to this weekend's game because of a quad injury, but he was able to practice on Friday, and he told local Detroit reporters that he is playing against the Vikings.
