For the second week in a row, veteran pass rusher Patrick Jones II is among the group of players on the Minnesota Vikings inactives list. This time, Jones will be inactive for the Vikings' Wild-Card playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday.
Jones injured his knee in Minnesota's Week 17 win over the Green Bay Packers and he hasn't been able to practice since. This past Saturday, the Vikings made the decision to rule out the veteran edge rusher for Monday's playoff matchup.
Before suffering his knee injury in Week 17, Jones was having the best season of his NFL career since entering the league in 2021. During the 2024 campaign, he set new single-season career highs for total tackles (39), pressures (24), sacks (7.0), and forced fumbles (one).

As for the other two players on Minnesota's final injury report before Monday's playoff game, defensive lineman Taki Taimani was listed as questionable with an ankle injury, but the team has already ruled him out for the contest, and running back Cam Akers was also listed as questionable due to an illness, but he'll be suiting up against the Rams.
Some other players who were listed on the Vikings' injury report during the last few days included running back Aaron Jones (quad), quarterback Sam Darnold (quad), tight end Josh Oliver (wrist), running back Ty Chandler (illness), and cornerback Fabien Moreau (hip).
All of these players will be taking the field on Monday, as none of them were given a game status on Minnesota's final injury report for the Wild-Card matchup.
