Even though it was expected, the brutality that exists on the final Week 5 injury report for the Minnesota Vikings before Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns is still somewhat shocking.

On Friday, the Vikings revealed that they have already ruled out quarterback J.J. McCarthy, edge rusher Andrew Van Ginkel, left guard Donovan Jackson, centers Ryan Kelly and Michael Jurgens, and right tackle Brian O'Neill for this weekend's matchup with the Browns in London, England.

That's right, six of Minnesota's players have already been ruled inactive for the team's Week 5 contest, including three starting offensive linemen. Injuries are obviously part of the sport, but just four games into the 2025 season, it feels like the Vikings have been clotheslined by the injury bug.

In addition to the six members of their roster who won't be playing on Sunday, Minnesota's final Week 5 injury report also has fullback C.J. Ham, edge rusher Tyler Batty, and tight end Ben Yurosek listed as questionable.

Ham and Batty are still on the Vikings' injured reserve list, but they both had their 21-day practice windows opened earlier this week, and at least one of them could potentially be active against Cleveland on Sunday.

Over on the other sideline, second-year defensive lineman Mike Hall is the only player that the Browns have already ruled out for Week 5 due to injury, and they also have offensive tackle Jack Conklin (elbow) and cornerback Greg Newsome II (hamstring) listed as questionable for Sunday's contest.

Newsome's injury is one to pay attention to since he was added to Cleveland's injury report in the middle of the week and he's played more defensive snaps than any of the team's other cornerbacks this season.

If he can't suit up, it seems safe to assume that Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell will look to take advantage of his absence with a heavy dose of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison on Sunday.
