In a bit of a surprise, former Minnesota Vikings assistant general manager Ryan Grigson decided to decline a new role with the team and leave the organization this week.

This was just one of the latest notable changes to a Vikings' front office that have recently been made under new general manager Nolan Teasley in order to help steer the team's ship back in the right direction

Since officially joining Minnesota earlier this month, Teasley has been looking around the league to find the right individuals to add to his front office ahead of the 2026 NFL season.

Finding the right people to put in the right roles is a big challenge, and on Thursday, the Vikings revealed some of the front office's newest additions who they believe can help the franchise moving forward.

Minnesota Vikings officially announce multiple new front office hires and promotions

On Thursday, Minnesota announced on its official website that they have officially hired two individuals to be co-assistant general managers under Nolan Teasley. The individuals hired in these roles are Andrew Healy and Trent Kirchner.

Healy comes to the Vikings through the Cleveland Browns. While with the Browns, he was praised for his intelligence and was often consulted when the team was looking for input on a particular prospect during the draft process or signing undrafted free agents.

Kirchner joins Minnesota after spending the last several seasons working with Teasley and the Seattle Seahawks. Most recently, he was the Seahawks' Vice President of Player Personnel and he is entering his 27th year in the NFL.

The following promotions were also made:

Dabness Atkins to Scouting Assistant
Chris French to Director of Football Quantitative Methods
Claire Morrison to Football Quantitative Methods Analyst
Jack Murphy to College Area Scout
Brian Schnorr to College Scout/BLESTO

The initial impression of these hires is that the Vikings are determined to put more of a focus on scouting and talent acquisition, specifically in the NFL Draft.

The current look of Minnesota's front office showcases a group that is very different from the one under the previous general manager, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah.

While metrics and numbers are important, ensuring the purple and gold get the right people in the right positions is essential in creating a bright future for a team fighting to stay competitive in today's NFL.
